HISTORY

In July of 1997 Jan Johnson worked as an in house medical coder/biller for a local dermatologist. She approached her employer with the idea that she could accomplish the same amount of work in significantly less time, for substantially less money by taking the billing out of the office.  He agreed, and she started to work from home.  As the work and client load started to grown she decided that she would need to incorporate.  On December 24^th, 1999 Jan formed Healthcare Billing Center.
