FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Do you perform any A/R cleanup services?  What about all my “old Stuff”?

From time to time, NOVA may provide a separately contracted ‘clean-up’ service of a clients old A/R, however due to the time-consuming nature of the process this service is never performed without a contract for current billing services already being in place and the old A/R service fee is set at a higher rate.

Do I have to buy a lot of new computers and equipment?

NO. Technology requirements differ from office to office. You may select the level of technology you are comfortable with, and NOVA will help you find a way to access NOVA’s information.

Do you subcontract out data entry or other services?

NO. All services except our use of a data clearinghouse, data backup, and document destruction are performed by NOVA’s employees at NOVA’s Chantilly, Virginia office; not from home, and not outside this country.

Do you call the patients if they don’t pay? Do you perform collections?

ABSOLUTELY NOT. You must be very careful when it comes to collecting delinquent payments. To collect patient debts correctly and legally it is best left in the hands of the closely regulated collection companies. As a company policy NOVA only forwards accounts to the collection agency of your choice after receiving your permission to do so in writing.
